#12 GEORGIA TECH (6-1) @ VIRGINIA (3-3)
Virginia is the only team unbeaten in ACC play and is rebounding from a horrible start. Georgia Tech is coming off their big win over Virginia Tech and looking to break into the Top 10.
MINNESOTA (4-3) @ #19 OHIO STATE (5-2)
An angry Ohio State team entertains a Minnesota team desperate for some national attention. Winning in Columbus would do just that. Ohio State needs to prove the Purdue loss was a fluke.
(26) SOUTH FLORIDA (5-1) @ #20 PITTSBURGH (6-1)
This game may ultimately decide the Big East. South Florida missed lost the big game to Cincinnati, and need to disprove the critics waiting for their collapse. Pittsburgh is quietly a contender.
CONNECTICUT (4-2) @ #22 WEST VIRGINIA (5-1)
In an emotional game after the death of CB Jasper Howard, UCONN looks to knock off a West Virginia team trying to climb back into the national spotlight.
(34) ARKANSAS (3-3) @ (29) MISSISSIPPI (4-2)
A battle for SEC relevance. Arkansas is still stinging from getting robbed against Florida. This is a "separate the contender from pretender" game. Both teams need this game badly.
IOWA STATE (4-3) @ (27) NEBRASKA (4-2)
In a classic "offense vs. defense" game, ISU will try to put up enough points to outscore a strugg-a-LING Nebraska offense. ISU looks to snap it's long Big 12 road losing streak in Lincoln.
TENNESSEE (3-3) @ #1 ALABAMA (7-0)
Alabama takes the field as the #1 team for the first time this year. Tennessee is looking for it's breakthrough win under Lane Kiffin. Alabama looks invincible...can they stay unbeaten?
LOUISVILLE (2-4) @ #6 CINCINNATI (6-0)
The pressure grows for Cincinnati to win and win convincingly to stay in the National Championship picture, and no one knows for sure if Tony Pike can play or how hurt he is.
#11 OREGON (5-1) @ WASHINGTON (3-4)
Oregon's stock is rising, but this is a "trap" game against a Washington team that did beat USC. Oregon could be looking past Washington to USC, but they have to take care of business first.
#13 PENN STATE (6-1) @ (32) MICHIGAN (5-2)
Big time game in the Big 10....Penn State needs this to prove that they can win a big game. Michigan needs this to prove they can beat a good team. This game has bowl game implications.
#25 OKLAHOMA (3-3) @ #24 KANSAS (5-1)
The battle to remain ranked will be waged in Lawrence. If Oklahoma drops this game, they will be 3-4 and making a bowl game is in question. Kansas needs this to stay relevant in the Big 12.
(35) BOSTON COLLEGE (5-2) @ (30) NOTRE DAME (4-2)
If Notre Dame is still serious about making the BCS, they MUST win this game. Boston College is a dangerous opponent and playing very well of late. Will the Irish defense show up?
UCLA (3-3) @ (28) ARIZONA (4-2)
Arizona is a team that could ultimately be a factor in the Pac 10, but they have to take care of business against the UCLA's of the world to be taken seriously.
#4 IOWA (7-0) @ MICHIGAN STATE (4-3)
The nation waits for the Hawks to stumble as they play a tough road game in East Lansing, where they have not won in 12 years. Michigan State is playing better, but can they knock off the Hawks?
#8 TCU (6-0) @ #16 BYU (6-1)
Huge game in the MWC. A repeat of last year's big win could propel TCU into the BCS, but BYU still has a pretty good resume and wants to prove the Florida State loss was a fluke. Gameday is there.
(36) AUBURN (5-2) @ #9 LSU (5-1)
Auburn wants to prove that their 5-0 start was not a fluke. LSU still has hopes to make the National Title game, and they still control their own destiny. Need to win this or that dream dies.
SMU (3-3) @ #17 HOUSTON (5-1)
Houston is ranked and recognized, but SMU is the team that is 2-0 in conference and can take command of Conference USA with an upset here. Houston needs to prove they are legit.
#3 TEXAS (6-0) @ (38) MISSOURI (4-2)
The first of two potential stumbling blocks for the Longhorns in their drive for the National Championship. If Texas wins out, they will play for the title...can the Tigers trip them up?
(40) OREGON STATE (4-2) @ #4 USC (5-1)
This is a traditional stumbling block for USC, as Oregon State always seem to play the Trojans tough. USC could be looking ahead to Cal, and Oregon State is quietly optimistic.
#7 BOISE STATE (6-0) @ HAWAII (2-4)
Boise State's only hope of busting up the BCS is to win and win big the rest of the way. Hawaii is a tradtional upset special, but do they have the firepower to take down Boise State?
